Rental Description

Great budget cine zoom for documentaries, or lower budget cinematic shoots. Works great with Nucleus &co for wireless focus, wireless zoom and aperture. Since it’s Micro 4/3, the equivalent focal length it produces feels like a 40-140 would look on Super35. The mechanics are silky smooth, and the resulting image is gentle on the eye yet high in detail. We usually shoot around T3.5 with this lens.

A parfocal cine lens, the DZO 20-70mm T2.9 MFT Lens from DZOFilm is designed to maintain focus as you zoom in or out.

The lens has near-zero breathing, ensuring consistency in framing, and it provides rounded bikes thanks to a 12-blade iris. True to its cine design, it has a focus rotation of 270° and offers 26 focus marks along the range. Also, back focus adjustment of 19.2mm in small increments allows you to efficiently switch this lens between different MFT-mount cameras. We set the back focus for the BMPCC4K, but it works across a broad range for Micro 4/3 cameras like the GH5, Blackmagic Pocket, ZCam, Blackmagic Pocket 4K etc.

The lens has a durable all-metal housing.

I had a very important last minute concert I needed a lens for. I’m talking same day need. I called this place and within 4 minutes I was paying for my rental and picking it up within an hour following. The process was so easy. Also their prices are sooo fair. I am SO broke and this place was still very affordable. Lastly, I have terrible credit so I didn’t have a credit card to charge the “hold” which is the price of the lens. They offer a 3rd party insurance you can sign up for in literally a minute and cover the lens for like $15. This then allows you to use a debit card and wave the “hold”.  So long story short, this place is amazing. The rental process is great, the gear is top notch and in great shape. No scratches on lens. And very affordable. The customer service is also great.
